Harken has supplied the 44 m (144 ft)  Hoek-designed J-Class yacht Lionheart with travelers, winches, blocks, and Switch T-Track Battcar System.  Her aluminum hull was constructed by Bloemsma Shipyard in the Netherlands. Lionheart was fitted out with Harken gear at Claasen Jachtbouw.

Harken New Zealand is sponsoring a fundraising auction for The New Zealand Traditional Boatbuilding School, of which John Street is a patron. The school runs classes for apprentices, specialist classes such as clinker and caulking, and hobby classes for people to either build or restore small timber boats.

The auction is to be held at Ponsonby Cruising Club, starting at 6pm on 15 October 2010. Other items will include a clinker-built dinghy, a fishing gift basket, some luxury pamper packages and some maritime memorabilia in a silent auction

Harken US have developed a new range of folding padeyes for every application. Currently only available in the 6mm size the range will be steadily increasing as stock becomes available.
